Hey Marty, do you think you could ever be a contestant on Hell's Kitchen, putting up with Gordon? Think you could outcook that "executive chef" they have on the show?

Actually chef Gordon and I would get along famously - I will say that most exeptionally talented folks have a low tolerance for mediocrity...he is demanding because his mentors were demanding of him - I saw a great interview with him on Larry King and he explained the French Hell he went through as a destitiute scottsman trying to learn French cooking at the feet of the masters....I'm a big fan of his and the show

But I know what you mean, Marty. That's why Larry Bird stopped coaching basketball. He worked so hard and demanded perfection as a player, and couldn't get the same from those he coached. I can relate in my own life as well.

Well, be that as it may, I'm pretty sure I'd give Ramsay one upside the head with a frying pan after about 5 minutes. I'd be sure to make it a perfect swing.

Indeed. He would demand nothing less than perfection!

If I remember, I'll remind you. Bobcat, remind me to purge after I binge.

Consider yourself reminded. On the other hand, I don't recommend it unless you've eaten something that's loaded with some pathogen or other.

I was going to say something else, but it escaped me. Must be because it's time for my lunch!

Thanks! If I'm lucky I'll manage to remember that. ;)

(I have a meeting at 7:30, but I should be home before 9.)

Last night's "firing" was right-on. You can't brag about being an "executive chef" without the actions to back it up.

That skinny tattooed cook guy played it pretty smart by putting Mr. Executive Chef on the block. I think he's the odds-on favorite at this point -- either him or that Italian guy on the blue team. I don't see any of the others having a chance. Of course, remember that I'm the guy who called every fight wrong in "The Ultimate Fighter," so don't take my advice to Vegas if you know what's good for you. :)

Yes, definitely a good strategy to call out the exec chef. I'm pulling for the mother of 6 he was up against. She's doing well for someone with no experience.

I'm rooting for the big fat sweaty guy. Us big fat sweaty guys gotta stick together.

Uh, by "stick together," I mean "show solidarity." Big fat sweaty guys don't actually stick together. Although we do stick to furniture.
