How do you wonderful female athletes deal w/ our monthly enemy PMS! I die for the salt more then anything. I am doing very well, but would love some input from any other super suffers of this blessing!

Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. ;)

Seriously, some months I take a rest week because I have absolutely no energy. Others, there's no discernible difference. I do always give in to the chocolate cravings, though, since I know it's temporary. And Luna bars at least are good protein sources!

I wish I could offer some advice, or even empathy. I AM a little OLD lady.

I never would thought of "old"! I just die some months to exhaustion, hunger, rage, 20 pound water gain. You name it, it's me!

While Bobcat would be the first to point out the benefits of geezerhood, I'm still inclined to think I'd rather be young, including the PMS. I had a couple of really bad bouts with PMS . . . I remember lying in bed before falling asleep and thanking the lord that I hadn't murdered anyone that day! (I sent you a PM, powerchick!)

I am there with ya on that one. If I could concentrate that feeling to benching man I'd be at 200 in no time!

It's possible to take the pill for 3 packs in a row and get the whole period thing much less often. Or Depo shots, which may get rid of it altogether.

Me? I'm a moody person anyway, usually felt more by others than by me. I never noticed any change in weight or bloating or whatever... but maybe with a log starting up, monthly changes may become apparnet. How nice it would be to attribute a gym failure to a temporary physical condition that I couldn't prevent but that will disappear for a while... any excure for failure that I can put elsewhere is always much more fun. Is it really that easy? We shall see.
