After doing calf raises and squats, the bottom of my feet hurt, especially right above the heel. And suggestions for a stretch or maybe a suggestion on a different technique for this? Anyone ever experience this. Seems like I am hobbling.

May I ask what kind of shoes you squat in?

I am a runner, and using a series of poorly selected shoes I got plantar fasciitis, a pulling on the bottom of the foot near the arch and aiming rearward into and up the heal. Sometimes in the morning my first steps were painful from this condition.
Cure was to go to a running store and get fitted for a proper shoe, pain went away
Lots of people do squats with no ( drop a weight on the foot ) shoes. I am flat footed so this works well for me.
I find seated calf raises with high weight. lets say over 100lbs ( I weigh 175 ) can exacerbate my plantar fasciitis. Now I use between 45 and 90 for my seated calf raises and I wear good running shoes with a stiff enough heel to support my heal, and pause at both extremes of the movement. My problems have subsided.
You can always try differnt type of squats and calf raises till the hobble goes away. Maybe a rest period then starting a new technique for the exercises will help.

Just out of curiosity, when you squat, what part of your foot feels like it's got the most weight on it, and is that feeling consistent throughout the lift?
